Add Additional Recording
You can add a new recording and add it to the current document at any time. When you do, you will be presented with this dialog: ![]() Select the devices you wish to record from, and then press “Record”. The recording will be automatically added to your document media list. If you do not want the ScreenFlow icon to be in your dock when you record, check the “Close ScreenFlow before recording” button in this dialog. ScreenFlow must always record from your desktop to create a new document, but you can additionally record from an attached video camera and/or audio device. If you have more than one monitor connected, ScreenFlow will allow you to choose between your monitors. Record Video From:
Allows you to choose which camera or video capture device you are going to record from. Please make sure your camera is plugged in and turned on in Camera Mode. Your desktop recording and the video recording will be added as separate clips to the Document Media tab of the document properties. Record Audio From:
Allows you to select the input device for your microphone. If you are recording video as well, the audio is attached to the video clip, otherwise it is added to the Document Media as a separate audio clip. Record Computer’s Audio
If this option is checked, all of the audio that is sent to your computer’s speakers is also recorded by ScreenFlow. The audio will be attached to the desktop recording. This option requires installing a driver, which you can uninstall (or re-install) via the “Advanced” tab in the Preferences. Close ScreenFlow before recording
If you do not wish to have the ScreenFlow icon in the Dock when you do your recording, you can tick this checkbox. ScreenFlow will exit, your recording will start, and when the recording is finished, ScreenFlow will be re-opened, and the new recording added to your document. After Recording
After you have completed the recording, it is added to the Document Media tab of the document properties. You can then drag and drop it to the Timeline. |
